Empty Nesters Thriving Together

You're experiencing so many intense feelings

You know that hollow pit in your stomach now that your daughter has moved out? It’s totally normal. You might find yourself looking at old photos in your son's bedroom, and feeling regret as you focus on what you wish you had done differently. Maybe you had a good cry with a close friend, but now you’re feeling lost and sad. This stage of life is tough, especially if you don't have the support of a spouse. You're not alone. Loneliness creeps in, and you're left wondering what to do with all this extra time. You're so proud of your child, yet so heartbroken they're no longer at home. You're restless and don't know how to navigate this new chapter.

Deep Connections & Real Support

Life is better in a community where we can talk and empathize with each other. Empty Nesters Thriving Together provides a safe, intimate space to share your feelings and experiences for 75-minutes each week. Here, you’re not just another post in a feed; you’re a valued member of a close-knit group. Together, we’ll explore how to redefine your identity, improve relationships with your adult children, and strengthen your support network.

Conversations That Matter to You

Throughout the 8-week group, we’ll cover topics that resonate deeply with the empty nester experience. There will be room for exploring the emotional impact of this transition, helping you manage feelings of loss and emptiness. We’ll discuss ways to find new purpose and meaning in your life while setting personal goals that excite and motivate you. We'll brainstorm ways to expand your social circle and we'll cheer you on as you do it!

A Guided Journey

Unlike a Facebook group, Empty Nesters Thriving Together is guided by Dr. Barnhart, a relationship coach with over 25 years of experience as a licensed psychologist. This means you'll receive expert guidance and practical strategies tailored to your unique journey. You'll receive compassionate, professional support from someone with young adult children and understands what its like to transition to being an empty nester!
