Accessibility Statement
Last updated: June 15, 2026
Dr. Kristin Barnhart and Breakthrough Counseling, LLC are committed to making this website accessible to as many people as possible, including visitors who use assistive technology.
Our goal is to provide a website that is clear, usable, and accessible for visitors with disabilities, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, captions, magnification, voice recognition software, or other accessibility tools.
We aim to follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, WCAG 2.2 Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium. WCAG explains how to make web content more accessible for people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, language, learning, and neurological disabilities.
Our Accessibility Efforts
This website is designed and maintained with accessibility in mind. Our ongoing efforts may include:
-
Using clear headings and logical page structure
-
Providing readable text and sufficient color contrast
-
Making navigation and forms usable by keyboard where possible
-
Using descriptive links and button text
-
Adding alternative text to meaningful images
-
Keeping pages responsive across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices
-
Writing content in plain, direct language
-
Reviewing new pages and updates for accessibility concerns
Accessibility is an ongoing process. As content, technology, and standards change, we will continue working to improve this website.
ADA, Section 508, and WCAG
WCAG is a technical accessibility standard that is widely used to evaluate digital accessibility. The U.S. Department of Justice has adopted WCAG standards for certain ADA Title II web and mobile app requirements, and Section 508 uses WCAG-based requirements for federal information and communication technology.
Because accessibility requirements can vary depending on the type of organization, website, and service, this statement is intended to describe our accessibility goals and accommodation process. It is not a guarantee that every page, feature, or third-party tool will meet every accessibility requirement at all times.
